Seth Ginsberg - Co-founder, President
Seth was diagnosed with spondylarthritis in the US at just 13. This inspired him to reach out to other sufferers to hear their voices and learn from their experiences. It was clear to him that, with more accessible, community-based support and a united voice, patient-driven health was achievable.
With that in mind, he helped to pioneer the world’s first online patient community for the millions of people worldwide suffering from arthritis, called CreakyJoints. Partnering with social entrepreneur, Louis Tharp, in 1999, the two co-founded the Global Healthy Living Foundation (GHLF) in New York. GHLF is now the parent organisation of GHLF Australia, Creaky Joints, CreakyJoints Australia and other patient organisations.
Seth now lives in Bangalow, New South Wales, Australia (Arakwal Country).
The title of Louis Tharp’s book, The Overachiever’s Diary, says a lot about him. His extensive career includes international public relations, advertising and marketing, the first out gay coach at the US Military Academy, a member of the Obama administration’s Army Education Advisory Committee, a member of numerous boards and much more.
Louis became a social entrepreneur in 1999, co-founded and acted as the initial funder for CreakyJoints, an international service organization for people with arthritis. In 2007 CreakyJoints became part of the Global Healthy Living Foundation, which he also co-founded.
